In the modern context, the goal of an educational institution is not only academic excellence but also motivating and empowering its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society.

More than a decade back ST.JAMES pledged to transform education. The school that is being run under the aegis of well established Management “SISTERS OF ST.JAMES” has earned its own niche not only in Azhikode. At St.James we provide an atmosphere for multifaceted development, where children are encouraged to channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence. This can only be possible in a holistic, student-centric environment. The talents, skills, and abilities of each student need to be identified, nurtured, and encouraged so that he / she is able to reach greater heights. Students need to be provided with a platform to think, express, and exhibit their skills. It is necessary to empower them to negotiate several issues that confront them, with the teacher being a facilitator.

The school is striving hard to make the best possible efforts to inculcate strong values combining with academics and extra-curricular activities in the children. Converting every individual into a self-reliant and independent citizen, the school provides an amalgam of scholastic and co-scholastic activities.

No wonder, a student harnessed in such an atmosphere has every hope and possibility of becoming a responsible, balanced and a mature adult and is able to live in to contribute and to shoulder responsibilities of the society, of which he forms an integral part. Children need a supportive environment at home and at school. They need to set goals, within their reach until they gain confidence and determination. They should re examine their priorities, set clean goals and make specific plans to achieve what they desire. Focusing on specific goals, helps them move forward purposefully in life. They would, thus, have the pleasure of watching their dreams into reality.

At St.James our approaches to learning is child centric encouraging Activity based learning and inculcating a scientific temper and a spirit of free enquiry. In our curriculum the student is the primary focus and each child is involved in the learning process. We are constantly improving our teaching methodology so that it turns learning into combination of classroom study, research and scientific discovery.

While academic excellence is our major thrust, the school is also devoted to prepare the students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially relevant. We constantly endeavour to always live up to this ideology and inculcate this into everything we do, with the aim that we will be able to ensure that the children grow to their full potential, while constantly being groomed to pass out as men and women competent to bear responsibility in all walks of life.

At the very beginning , I raise up my heart to the God Almighty and gratefully acknowledge His boundless goodness and blessings, that nurtured, replenished and sustained the growth of this institution from its humble beginning in to its present stature.

St. James family contribute to the integral formation of the young by the type of teaching and whole development of the children, the spiritual emotional, intellectual and to mould and shape them to integrated and wholesome persons, fully human and alive. It is the duty of the teachers to prepare the young to face the challenges of life with enduring emotional and moral stamina with professional competence.

The success of this school greatly depends on the team work and dedicated service of the staff who work hand in hand with the management. I take this opportunity to congratulate the principal , the staff for their whole hearted co-operation and interest in the welfare of the students. The early childhood education lay the foundation for life. Our aim is to equip the young learners with all the tools to help them to sail through the more complex phases of learning in the future. This school is dedicated to develop a positive atmosphere of learning as well as engage the learners as active participation the process of learning. The school opens to the children from pre- kg to xth standard in two sections.

The website will give the learners, their parents and well –wishes to know about, the ultra modern world of education. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my principal and staff for their support in the process of teaching and moulding the children to come out with flying colors.
